The story of Reiki a simplified version
Mikao Usui
Dr. Mikao Usui was a Christian priest who lived in Japan at the end of the 19th Century, and taught religion.
Due to a question raised by one of his pupils, he travelled and learned in all the world, trying to understand how Jesus or Buda healed. After many years and a final process of meditation and fasting, he gained the knowledge he was looking for, and obtained energy in his hands.
Chujiro Hayashi
One of his pupils was Dr. Hayashi. Since he was a medical doctor, it’s to him that we owe the systematization of the positions in the treatments.
Hawayo Takata
In the time of the Second World War he was succeed by Mrs. Takata, who brought Reiki to the Western world.
